Dr Rolland S. Parker, NYATBI founder passes away on September 9th, 2010

 

Dr Rolland S. Parker, founder and past President of the New York Academy of Traumatic Brain Injury Society passed away peacefully on September 9th, 2010. Dr Parker received his Doctorate in  Clinical Psychology from New York University in 1959 and was  an Adjunct Professor  of Clinical Neurology at New York University School of Medicine. He is the author of numerous articles and textbooks on the subject of brain injury. He is survived by his wife Irmgard



Welcome to The New York Academy of Traumatic Brain Injury Website where we are entering an exciting new era. The 12th annual conference “TBI-The Treatment Imperative” held on March 2009 was a resounding success and we plan to continue this tradition with our next conference where the focus will be on in latest ground-breaking research and treatments in TBI. Other initiatives include a quarterly newsletter, keeping members appraised of developments in the TBI world, a quarterly invited lecture series, an annual caregivers forum and opportunities for our members to interact with each other through our newly created blog sites . http://blog.nyatbi.net/
