The New York Academy of Traumatic Brain Injury Announces its 12th Annual Conference titled
 
"Traumatic Brain Injury:
The Treatment Imperative"

 
Pre-convention Workshops March 26th, 2009

Plenary Sessions March 27th and 28th, 2009 
 
The New York Academy of Traumatic Brain Injury's annual conference is designed to address clinical advances and cutting edge research on caring for and treating survivors of Traumatic Brain Injury. Numerous topics of interest to health care providers, administrators, and policy makers are addressed in our annual conferences.  This year, we invite you to submit presentation proposals that address the conference theme "Traumatic Brain Injury: The Treatment Imperative."
 
Proposal Details & Contact Information:
Pre-convention Workshops: (2.5 hours + Q & A):
There will be two optional pre-convention workshops (morning and afternoon) the day prior to the conference. Pre-convention workshop topics relevant to the conference title will be considered.
 
Conference Presentations (30 minutes in length):
Presenters will also be asked to participate in a less formal panel discussion of morning and afternoon speakers to be chaired by a moderator.
 
Proposed topics will be considered in one of the following areas*:
 
Assessment
Combat Related Polytrauma/Blast Injury
Domestic Violence and Head Injury
Rehabilitative treatment
Repetitive injuries
Sports concussions
Traumatic Brain Injury
 
*If you have a topic in mind which is consistent with the conference title, but does not appear on the list of proposed topic areas, please contact Dr Anne-Felicia Ambrose, prior to submission, with your idea.

Note: Unfortunately, NYATBI is unable to reimburse conference speakers for travel related and hotel costs. NYATBI will, however, waive the conference registration fee for speakers.
